Borrowing Privileges

SIM membership privilege allows the use and loan of library resources. Individual, Corporate, and Student Members whose membership is current can avail of the library services.

An employee of a company that is a Corporate Member is eligible to enjoy library privileges and only needs to register with the library during his/her initial visit.

To register, an employee is required to produce his/her staff identification pass (with photograph) in order to authenticate your employment with the company.

During subsequent visits, the employee is required to present the staff identification pass to borrow books.

Students and Individual members are required to produce their e-card when borrowing books.

Each member is entitled to borrow a maximum of six items from the library. These include print and/or non-print media.

The SIM Membership card or SIM student e-card needs to be presented for check-out transactions. Our friendly personnel will assist with checking out the resources at the circulation counter.

In addition, members may also use the Self-Checkout machines to borrow items.

A friendly reminder notice will be sent three days prior to the stipulated due date to the member’s registered email address.

As membership cards are non-transferable, members who wish to authorise a representative to carry out any library transaction on their behalf are required to provide a letter of authorisation.
